Erin Glen fire investigated as suspicious

Town of Erin Fire and Emergency Services received a call about a large fire at 12:45 a.m. Friday in the new Erin Glen subdivision.
Station No. 10 and Station No. 50 responded with eight fire trucks, and approximately 30 fire personnel, including Acting Fire Chief, Scott Bates.
Upon arrival, several residential units were on fire in a row of semi-detached homes under construction. (State of completion approx. 80%)
Erin Fire set up defensive operations and stopped the fire on both sides in the originating unit.
The Ontario Fire Marshal has been notified, and Erin Fire and the OPP are jointly investigating the cause of the fire that is considered "suspicious".
“Crews did an outstanding job controlling the fire and limiting damage to more units,” said Acting Fire Chief, Scott Bates.
Erin Fire cleared the scene by 4:30 p.m. Friday.
