The annual Town of Erin Shamrock Awards honour individuals, organizations and businesses who have made a significant contribution to our community.
Nominees do not need to be residents of Erin, but their contributions must be to the betterment of the Town of Erin community.
The Town extends recognition and thanks to local businesses, groups and organizations that positively influence our community through the following categories:
- Citizen of the Year Award: This award recognizes one individual who has positively influenced the Town of Erin community through their volunteerism and outreach.
- Community Volunteer Award: This award is presented to an individual who has contributed to the betterment of our community through volunteering.
- Business of the Year Award: This award is presented to a business that has had a positive impact on the Town of Erin community and residents.
- Environment Award: This award recognizes actions, projects, initiatives, education, stewardship or art that contributes to environmental sustainability in the Town of Erin.
- Youth Award: This award is presented to a youth under the age of 18 who has made significant contributions to the community and/or demonstrated community spirit through outreach or other significant community enrichment activities.
NEW! This year:
- Contribution to Canadian Industry Award: An award for a resident who has made significant contributions to industry on a national scale. Note: this award may be awarded posthumously.
- Sports Achievement Award: To an individual, team or animal who has made a significant sporting achievement in 2024.
- Arts and Culture Award: To an artist, performer or group who has made a significant impact on Erin's arts and culture scene.
- Philanthropy Award: This award recognizes outstanding contributions made to better the Erin community.
