The Town of Erin has monitored the recent precipitation over the past week and the forecasted lower temperatures and expected precipitation, and has decided to lift the current burn ban, effective Monday, July, 20, 2020.
Those in possession of a Town of Erin Burn Permit, dated January 2020 to December 2020 may resume burning, in accordance with the regulations identified in the burning by-law #06-14. this by-law is available for viewing on the Town of Erin website.
Those wishing to acquire a burn permit, may do so by applying online at www.erin.ca or contact Town Hall at 519.855.4407. You may also obtain your permit by submitted the online form to fire@erin.ca and sending the payment via electronic transfer at epayments@erin.ca.
When burning, please respect the rights of your neighbours by observing the wind direction.
