Town of Erin hosting public open houses Jan. 31 to update community on wastewater plant progress
The Town of Erin is hosting open house sessions in Hillsburgh and Erin to give public updates on the construction of the Town’s new wastewater treatment system.
There will be two meetings on Wednesday, Jan. 31, the first will be held in Hillsburgh at 1:30 p.m. in the upper banquet hall of the Hillsburgh Community Centre. The second open house will be held in the Erin Community Centre at 3 p.m. inside Centre 2000.
“We encourage all residents to take this opportunity to come out to learn about the latest updates and ask any questions they have about the largest infrastructure project in Erin’s history,” said Chris Vernon, senior communications officer with the Town of Erin.
The meetings will be attended by Town and project construction staff.
There will be additional open houses planned on a quarterly basis to keep residents apprised of the progress on the plant and sewer system, with sessions held across the community at varying times of the day.
An evening session will also be held in a central location once a quarter.
