Residents Invited to Septic Social

Date: Oct 10, 2024

It’s not the most glamorous part of a home, but it’s incredibly important.

A functioning septic system is crucial for not only the health and safety of a household, but also the surrounding water systems.

Erin residents are invited out to the Town of Erin Municipal Office on Oct. 16 to learn more about their home’s septic system and the importance of care and upkeep to protect the environment.

“We are so pleased to partner with Wellington Source Water Protection and CVC,” said Joe Forte, Director of Development and Chief Building Official for the Town of Erin.

He added that this event is the perfect opportunity for new residents of homes with septic systems to understand how they work, general maintenance and how to keep them functioning.

There will be a live demonstration on site, opening the Town of Erin’s septic tank.

Well water sampling kits will also be available, as well as information on CVC programs and funding.

The event will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct 16 at the Town of Erin Municipal Office, 5684 Trafalgar Rd., Hillsburgh.
