Statement on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
On behalf of the Town of Erin Council, I would like to convey our deepest condolences on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada. We are deeply saddened by the loss. Her Majesty dedicated an entire lifetime to selfless service. She truly lived the profound pledge she offered in 1947 when she said, 'My whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service”. Over her 70 year journey as the Monarch, she remained steadfast in her commitment to the Commonwealth and its people.
In this hour of immense loss, our thoughts and prayers are with His Majesty King Charles III, and all members of the Royal Family. Flags at Town facilities will be lowered to half-mast.
