Residents are advised to be aware about ongoing construction work beyond the Erin Glen residential subdivision, specifically on Credit Valley Conservation Authority (CVCA) lands known as the Elora Cataract Trailway (ECT) and Credit River Pine Estates (CRPE), as well as adjacent roadways including Dundas Street East and 10th Line. These works may have an impact on local residents and neighbouring landowners.
The construction project, managed by National Properties Inc., Northern Capital Corp., and their contractors, has received approval from the Town of Erin to proceed with necessary activities for building and enhancing the Erin Glen residential subdivision.
The scope of work includes upgrades to existing stormwater sewers along the ECT to support community growth, and the construction of wetland and spillway features at the CRPE for erosion control and natural channel protection purposes. The contractor has worked closely with CVCA to minimize impacts and disturbances to the ECT, including reducing the necessary tree removals to the greatest extent possible.
After the completion of the works, the trailway will be restored to a similar or improved condition, and trail features will be reinstated.
What you can expect:
The ECT between the western limit of the Erin Glen subdivision and 10th Line will be closed to the public for approximately five months between April 22 and Sept. 20;.
Neighbours adjacent to CVC lands may experience additional inconveniences such as road restrictions, increased truck traffic, dust, and noise;
Work can be expected Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., and occasional work is expected on weekends or after hours.
