The Town of Erin advises residents that Bridge 5 replacement work will close Second Line approximately 1.7 km west of Sideroad 27 for bridge replacement beginning Monday, Sept.16, 2024.
Bridge 5 must be replaced due to public safety concerns. At present, the bridge replacement is expected to be completed by Oct.15, 2024, however there is a possibility the construction may take longer based on weather. Local access will be maintained at all times for residents and businesses, from either the west or the east, however, through-access will not be permitted during construction.
All agencies, such as, but not limited to: emergency services, student transportation services, waste collection and postal service will all be notified of the road closure. Road closure notification signs will be installed and maintained throughout the project.
