User Pay Garbage Bags
Solid Waste Services (SWS) is aware that some County residents have recently been experiencing quality issues with our user pay garbage bags. Production issues have resulted in the inconsistent quality of the bags. We are actively working with our supplier to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.
If you have received substandard bags, please contact SWS at 519.837.2601, 1.866.899.0248 or wasteinfo@wellington.ca to arrange for the delivery of your replacement bags. Please be prepared to provide our staff member with the defective bags.
We have been using the stamped user pay garbage bags since the launch of the County-wide system in January 2002. As with any manufactured product, there is always the chance that the quality is not up to our standards or expectations. Fortunately, this doesn't happen very often, but when it does, SWS will take responsibility for the defective or substandard bags and exchange them.
We understand it is very frustrating when this happens and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to have this issue addressed. We appreciate your understanding as we work with our supplier to resolve this current issue and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.
